Digenis Akritas Morfou (DAM) is an athletic club established in 1931 and has a rich history in football in Cyprus. In 1971 the club participated in the Uefa Cup competition, playing a 2-leg match against AC Milan. Over the years, the club has struggle with financial difficulties especially after 1974 when it was forced out of the town of Morfou to the capital Nicosia. While its fan base became refugees at that time the club faced immense economic hardships in the following years. Yet, it has managed to survive and remained active but in the lower national football leagues. In the last two decades the club has managed to gain some of its earlier prosperity, moved up to the national leagues playing in the 1st and 2nd division, and started at the same time investing in the infrastructure that will allow it to improve further in the future.

MentisVR is a sportstech startup established in 2019 in Nicosia Cyprus by a multidisciplinary team of Sports experts, Psychologists, Neuroscientists, and Computer Scientists. MentisVR develops Virtual Reality applications that are used in sports to assess and improve mental skills, particularly those relating to attention and perception. Its flaghship product VkeepR is currently used by a number of fooball teams to train mental skills in their goalkeepers.
